Autosave Plugin

Updated: Sunday, 07 August 2016

Automatically save your form data to the browser’s localStorage.

This plugin is very useful for those of you who don’t want to lose data when something technical unexpected happen. Laptop die suddenly or accidentally close the browser window before it managed to store all draft correctly. This plugin will try to scan all HTML forms that available in the page, and then store all the data into localStorage whenever a particular condition occurs.

This plugin will not affect the hosting quotas because all of the saved form data will only be retained locally in your current browser. Thanks to the awesome native JavaScript API called localStorage.

There are some circumstances that will trigger the autosave plugin:

  • When the interval has reached the maximum time
  • When you close the browser window
  • When you reload the browser window
  • When you press the Save Session button.
